TSC:E is CMT's ground-up overhaul of the original Silent Cartographer mission from Halo: Combat Evolved. Rather than a light retexture, it's a full rebuild: a new layout for the island, a large amount of custom content, and a reworked weapon set designed to reward improvisation and tactical variety, with plenty of secrets tucked away for players to find. The team behind it has described TSC:E as the last Halo CE project many of its members worked on together — the result of almost three years of development.
TSC:E-Multiplayer is Perla117's spin-off of that project. Once CMT released TSC:E for Halo Custom Edition, Perla117 started modding it further, taking the mission's first two BSPs and stitching them together into a dedicated multiplayer map — reusing the original mission's shaders and source tags. Every gametype is supported, and each one loads its own lightmap and time of day: Slayer and King run under a night sky, Oddball in the morning, and Capture the Flag and Race during the day. The layout itself was also nudged from the original campaign BSP, with a new passage leading straight to the cave through a waterfall, and the map room now opening onto the blue base.
The map later made the jump to Halo: The Master Chief Collection, ported by Perla117 with a handful of changes and improvements: refreshed tags provided for MCC by the original TSC:E developers, new weapons and vehicles, sprinting through an Hsc script, and a set of ten hidden easter-egg weapons scattered around the island. It's been recognized as one of the best HaloCE3 maps of 2016.
